|I have heard Klink referred to as the Kommandantur as that is what the letter board says on his office. This is a mis-nomer.
Kommandant translates Commandant. Pretty easy.
'Tur' translates 'door' or 'gate' like Brandenburger Tor.
It could be spelled Tor or Tür. I'm not sure if the lackof oomlauts above the 'u' on the Kommandant's office building is a mistake or a common abbreviation.
However it's spelled, "KOMMANDANTUR" means Commandant's office, and Klink is simply the Kommandant.
