Ken here aka kilogulf59 and I just found out about forum and thought I'd give it a try.

I literally grew up watching HH. First as a little kid on prime time and then in reruns forever. It was hokey but was good, glean entertainment with a minor historical twist which I liked.

Howdy Ken, welcome, I'm relatively new here myself, and like you, I found Hogan hokey at first (especially compared to M*A*S*H, which I still consider the superior series of the two), but it grew on me, and I think it jelled moreso in its later seasons than, say, the first couple.

And, I take it, by, "Cheese Curtain", you're from Wisconsin?

Hey BDO,

Thanks for the welcome.

HH is hokey but there's nothing wrong with that. I mean hell, look at the tunnel complex. It's the size of the NYC subway system...LOL

I was a MASH fan but I don't think one can fairly compare the two. MASH had a definite anti-war message and then, in the latter years, turned into a regular soap opera though it still had it's moments. But that just my take on it...

BTW, they're both leaps and bounds better than the crap on nowadays...

Yep, we live in frozen Juneau Co. WI...
